CHHS will be giving the PLAN Thursday, November 14. The cost is $12. Students should pay Mrs. Hutchins in the Guidance Office to reserve their spot. The PLAN is a great way to prepare 9th and 10th graders for the ACT. Email charletta.hutchins@dcsms.org if you have any questions. Please note, Mrs. Hutchins cannot reserve a spot for your child without the $12 payment. Your child's spot is not secure until payment has been received.

BYOD is here!
Your child should have received a packet about BYOD on Monday. Please read this information, sign and return this packet to school so your child can benefit from this great opportunity. Remember, students will not be allowed to participate in BYOD activities unless they have a signed permission form on file.
Teachers use BYOD to teach students how to use the Internet for research and academic purposes. We have found that so many of our students know how to use Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Vine, etc. but they have no idea how to use the Internet for academic research. This becomes a big issue when they go to college or enter the workforce-we have to start preparing them now.
Senior Info:
The last day to order a senior ad for the yearbook is Friday, November 15. Also, yearbooks will be on sale at school November 11-15. The cost is $60.00. You may send cash or check or order on line at chhs.desotocountyschools.org. Click on the "Balfour logo" on the right side of the screen.
