Lots of information!

I meant to post at the end of last week, but with SATP re-test, athletic events, and conferences the blog was pushed back a few days. However, all of those things mean school is in full swing!

We have several things to keep in mind in the coming weeks....


1. Attention all athletes! Are you interested in playing at the next level (i.e. college)? If you are you need to register through the NCAA Clearinghouse. This has to be done in order for the school to communicate with colleges and universities about your academics. Go online to the NCAA Eligibility Center to register. (Note-there are 2 Center Hills when you register. Check with Mrs. Brown to make sure you are signed up under the correct one.)

2. Senior athletes, if you are interested in applying for the Wendy's High School Heisman the deadline to apply is October 2. You can go online to The Wendy's High School Heisman Page to apply.

3.  The Center Hill Library is having their second annual BOOK FAIR  beginning Sept. 30th and running through October 4th.  Please encourage your student to visit the Book Fair. Reading outside of class is one of the best ways to increase your ACT score!

4. Important Dates:
September 24-US Marine Corp will be in the Commons at Break!
September 25- See You at the Pole at 7:50 a.m.
September 27-Last day to register for October ACT 
September 28-Senior Visit Day for Memphis and Delta State (go to their websites for more information)

5. Homecoming is October 11. Our theme is "Crush the Wave." Check with your class officers and sponsors to see how you can get involved! We want everyone to participate in the Homecoming festivities.

Last but not least-our football team plays Lewisburg this Friday night at The Hill at 7. Please come out and support them! Not only is this is huge rival game but it is also our first district game. Hope to see you there!
